Jacob Vatter attended the Charmbridge Academy from 2008 to 2015. He is an Old Colonial, "one of the Palatines from somewhere back East."
He was one of two sixth-graders to enter the Charmbridge Academy Dueling Competition on Hallowe'en of 2008, and dueled against Tomo Matsuzaka. He cast a Stunning Spell that collided with Matsuzaka's own Stunning Spell, but was stunned when Matsuzaka immediately cast another Stunning Spell.
